    Go here: imapsync.lamiral.info/

    Then answer these questions:

Look at the website for 10 - 20 seconds. What do you think it is about?
What does the website make you want to do? Start doing that, and describe your experience.
Is there anything that makes you feel frustrated or confused? Or that you like?
    Any other thoughts or feedback?

Looks like a very old school website.

I've actually used imapsync previously (it was a life saver) and I was put off by the website, but used it due to recommendations on forums.

For the first time none tech user it can be very confusing as they arent used to information being displayed this way. For the tech user generally they'll come from a referral on a forum or from a colleague and therefore are already sold on the power of the product. If the website was redone to a web 2.0 style I'm sure you'd be able to leverage the paid services much more, the product itself is brilliant.

            Hi james,

I thank you very much for your time! It looks like few people are alike to exchange time on usability tests. I do agree with you on imapsync website, it's definitively a grandmother site, with too much pieces of information in it at first sight. Nobody reads. I plan to add some tutorial videos. Anyway imapsync the command is for tech users so the website doesn't lie by its current presentation.

What I'm actually interested in is the imapsync online interface usability https://i005.lamiral.info/X/

Oops Gilles seems you clicked a different Reply button, and replied to your original post instead of to James. @latic (James), here's a reply that maybe you haven't read :- )

User interface on this is nice and clean.

The only thing that puts me off is the domain (I'd use it anyway as I know the product) kinda looks scammy / spammy.

As long as someone is landing on another page to explain this one they'll be fine.

Also i'd do a credit system (say 5 free), which will provide people with a sense of more security!

What do you think it is about?

Syncing email. Maybe could use for mirroring a Gmail account, with one's own mail server. Could be useful, in case Google does something unexpected with one's Gmail account.

I tried to find out for how long imapsync has been around. Just had a quick look — couldn't find out. Only saw year 2019 here and there. Personally I wouldn't dare to use something that hasn't been around for 5+ years, for something so important, as synching emails.

I'm hesitant to paying for a closed source solution. What about licensing under GPL? You can still sell the code, like WordPress people do with their plugins. ... After a while I notice one does get access to the source code. That's nice. And updates. That's nice too. Maybe "lots of" people won't notice this, because they didn't read "everything"?

Ok so it's been there since 2001: "The ChangeLog to read what changed in details since 2001." — I'd like to know that, sooner :- )
I'd prefer getting access to a Git repo. Maybe you can provide a private GitHub / GitLab repo that people who have paid, can get access to?

Maybe adding a title / sub title "Keeping your email safe, since year 2001" somewhere?

What about contacting a designer and ask him/her to make a suggestion of a completely reworked website? One goal would be to make important info (like, source code. Updates. Been there since 2001) simpler to find somehow?
